Project Overview
El Shaddai Christian School is an independent co-educational school in Durbanville, Cape Town, offering education from Grade 00 to Grade 12 with a foundation in Biblical discipleship alongside academic excellence. The school serves both English and Afrikaans-speaking families and has been part of the community since 1993. The website needed to reflect the school's values, communicate the admissions process clearly and serve the community it represents.
The Brief
MM Digital was briefed to build a welcoming, professional website that communicates the school's mission and academic programme, and makes the admissions process straightforward for prospective parents. Bilingual support for English and Afrikaans content was a core requirement. The site also needed to handle a wide range of content types: alumni stories, events, downloadable admissions documents and policy information. MM Digital handled design, development, content writing and ongoing updates.
What We Built
MM Digital designed and developed the site on WordPress using Elementor Pro with a fully custom aesthetic. Warm earth tones and visual elements reflecting the school's identity were used throughout. The layout follows a clear, parent-focused structure moving from mission and values through to subject choices, admissions steps and contact options. JetEngine was used to manage dynamic content including alumni profiles, events, downloadable admissions documents and policy pages. Anchor navigation allows parents to reach the sections most relevant to their stage of the admissions process without scrolling through unrelated content. Content was written by MM Digital in both English and Afrikaans where required. The site is fully mobile responsive.
