Project Overview
Starline Body Shop is a panelbeating and spray painting workshop based in Isando, Kempton Park, with BBBEE Level 1 status and accreditation from the RMI and SAMBRA. The team repairs and refinishes vehicles of every size, from family cars to commercial trucks, using imported Spies Hecker paint backed by a lifetime warranty. With a website already in place to showcase the workshop's work and attract new clients, the priority shifted to keeping that site online, secure and properly maintained, so the business could focus on the cars on the floor rather than the server behind the scenes.
The Brief
MM Digital was brought on to take over hosting for the Starline Body Shop website and provide ongoing IT support. The brief covered server management, uptime monitoring, SSL renewal, security updates and a direct line of contact for any technical issue that came up day to day. Rather than leaving the business to deal with a hosting provider's call centre and ticket queue, the goal was a single point of contact who already knew the site and could act on problems quickly.
What We Built
MM Digital moved the Starline Body Shop website onto managed hosting with automated backups, active SSL certificate management and monitoring that flags downtime as soon as it happens. Software updates and security patches are applied on a regular schedule, keeping the site protected without any input needed from the Starline team. Email and DNS configuration are managed directly, so changes to email accounts or domain settings are handled without the business needing to log into a control panel or contact a third party. When something does go wrong, whether that is an email delivery issue, a site error or a domain renewal, the team contacts MM Digital directly and it gets sorted, usually the same day. That ongoing relationship means technical problems get fixed quickly, by someone who already understands the site.
